Starting a launch
Starting a launch is a short form and a credit. Here is what it asks, what happens while the plan builds, and what to do if the build hits an error.
Last updated June 22, 2026Starting a launch is quick. You give Nilkick a product and a couple of choices, it spends one credit, and then it goes to work building your plan.
01 · The formWhat the form asks
When you start a new launch, Nilkick asks for two things:
- Your product URL. This is the page Nilkick studies to understand what you have built and who it is for.
- Your target markets. Pick up to four regions you most want to reach. Nilkick pre-selects a sensible default based on where you are, and you can change it.
That is all it needs. There is no long questionnaire, because Nilkick reads the product itself rather than asking you to describe it.
02 · The buildWhat happens next
When you submit, one launch credit is spent and the plan build begins. Nilkick reads your site in depth, infers your product and audience, ranks the venues, and drafts a post for each one. This runs in the background and usually finishes within a minute or two.
While it builds, the launch shows a building state. When it is ready, you move straight into the workspace to start posting.
03 · If it stallsIf the build hits a snag
Occasionally a build fails, often because a site was slow or unreachable at that moment. When that happens the launch shows an error with a Retry button, and retrying re-runs the same job without spending another credit. If a retry still does not work, contact support and we will sort it out.
A credit is only spent at submission. If you are unsure your page is ready, run the free readiness report first and clear the on-page gaps, so the launch you do spend a credit on lands well.
