Terms of Service

The plain-language agreement for using Nilkick, the free report, and paid Launches. By using the site, you agree to these terms.

Last updated: July 13, 2026

1. Agreement to these terms

Nilkick (“Nilkick”, “we”, “us”) provides launch-readiness and distribution tools at nilkick.com from New South Wales, Australia. By accessing the site, running a report, creating an account, or buying or subscribing to a service, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Nilkick.

If you use Nilkick on behalf of a company or other organisation, you confirm that you have the authority to accept these terms for it.

2. What Nilkick is

Nilkick helps a freshly-shipped product get its first users. The services currently include:

  • The free report. You paste a product URL and we return a launch-readiness score and a launch map, built from information that is already public about that page. No account is required, and we do not email you.
  • A Launch. For a one-time fee, we read your product more deeply, find the venues and conversations worth acting on, and draft material for you to review.
  • A Reddit Warm-up. For a one-time fee, we create an adaptive 28-day plan of useful Reddit participation and reassess the public standing of the Reddit account you provide.
  • The Scout. For a monthly fee per scouted product, we monitor public Reddit and Hacker News conversations, add judged opportunities and draft replies to your inbox, and send service emails when configured.

You always review and post from your own accounts. Nilkick does not post or submit anything automatically on your behalf. Scores are rule-based measurements and all maps, opportunities, and drafts are guidance. Nilkick does not guarantee any particular traffic, ranking, sign-ups, revenue, or other result.

3. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old to use Nilkick. The free report needs no account. Paid services require signing in with your email through our authentication provider.

You are responsible for keeping access to your inbox and account secure, and for the activity that happens under your account. Tell us at hello@nilkick.com if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

4. The free report

Reports are generated from information that is publicly accessible about the URL you submit: the page markup, its metadata, and public search results. Only submit URLs that you own or have a legitimate reason to analyse.

A report lives at a shareable link tied to the domain. Anyone with the link can view it, which is the point of sharing, but we do not list or index reports ourselves. You can re-run a report at any time.

Reports are provided for your guidance and information. They are a snapshot of public signals at the moment they are run, and may change as your page or the wider web changes.

5. Paid services, payments, and refunds

A Launch is a one-time purchase of $15, and a Reddit Warm-up is a one-time purchase of $15. Neither renews. The Scout is $20 per month for each scouted product, billed in advance, and renews automatically each month until you cancel.

You can cancel a Scout subscription at any time through the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period, and the Scout continues until then. If we change a Scout subscription price, we will give you reasonable notice before the change applies to a renewal so you can cancel first.

Prices and any applicable taxes are shown before you pay. The price shown at checkout is the price for that purchase or billing period.

We do not see or store your full card details. Those are handled by our payment processor.

Because a Launch or Reddit Warm-up produces custom work and processing begins shortly after purchase, we do not offer refunds simply because you change your mind after that work begins. We also do not normally provide partial refunds when you cancel a Scout during a paid billing period.

These change-of-mind rules do not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our services come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded. If a service has a problem, email hello@nilkick.com. Depending on the circumstances and the law, the remedy may include fixing or resupplying the service, cancellation, a refund, or compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss.

6. Acceptable use

When you use Nilkick, you agree not to:

  • Analyse or target a site in a way that is unlawful, deceptive, or intended to harm someone;
  • Break, overload, probe, or reverse-engineer the service, or try to reach data that is not yours;
  • Resell, scrape, or systematically extract the service or its output beyond your own use;
  • Use the drafted content to spam, mislead, or break the rules of the venues you post to.

You are responsible for what you post. The communities and platforms in your launch map (such as Reddit, Hacker News, and Product Hunt) each have their own rules, and following them is up to you.

7. Content and ownership

You keep any rights you already have in the product information and other content you submit. You may use, edit, and publish the drafts Nilkick generates for you, but you are responsible for reviewing them and making sure your final use does not infringe anyone else’s rights or break a platform’s rules.

To provide the service, you give us a non-exclusive licence to process, copy, store, and display your submissions and service data only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve Nilkick, as described in these terms and the Privacy Policy. This licence ends when the relevant data is deleted, except for copies we must retain by law or in routine backups for a limited period.

We keep ownership of Nilkick itself: the site, the scoring methodology, the software, and the brand. These terms do not give you any right to them beyond using the service as intended.

8. Third-party venues and services

Nilkick points you to third-party platforms and relies on third-party providers (for example: hosting, authentication, payments, email, search data, and AI models). We are not responsible for those platforms or for what they do, and their own terms and privacy practices apply to your use of them.

9. Consumer rights and disclaimers

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies a consumer guarantee, right, or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified.

Subject to those rights, Nilkick is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise that the service will always be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any score, map, opportunity, or draft will produce a particular outcome. Results depend on your product, your market, third-party platforms, and how you use the guidance.

10. Limitation of liability

Where the law permits us to limit our liability for a failure to comply with a non-excludable guarantee, our liability is limited, at our option, to supplying the affected service again or paying the reasonable cost of having it supplied again.

For all other liability, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, Nilkick and the people who work on it are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or opportunities. Our total aggregate liability arising from a paid service is limited to the amount you paid Nilkick for the affected service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. For a free report, our liability is limited to supplying the report again.

These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

11. Changes, termination, and the service

We may change, add to, or discontinue parts of Nilkick as the product evolves. We may suspend or end access where reasonably necessary to protect Nilkick, its users, or third parties, or where someone materially breaks these terms or misuses the service. Where practicable, we will give notice and an opportunity to fix the issue. You can stop using Nilkick at any time.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. Changes apply prospectively. Material changes will not reduce the service already purchased for a current one-time order or paid subscription period, unless the change is required by law or reasonably necessary for security or to prevent abuse.

If you have an account, we will make a reasonable effort to notify you of a material change before it takes effect. If you do not agree with an updated term, you may stop using Nilkick and cancel any subscription before the next renewal.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and Nilkick submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales and courts entitled to hear appeals from them. Nothing in this section prevents you from relying on rights you have under a law that applies to you and cannot be excluded. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.

13. Complaints and contact
