Free report vs a paid launch
Scanning is free forever. A launch is the paid part. Here is exactly where the line between them sits, and what you get on each side.
Last updated June 22, 2026There are two halves to Nilkick, and the line between them is clean. One half is free and open to anyone. The other is the paid product. Knowing which is which saves confusion later.
01 · Always freeThe free half: scanning
Running the readiness report is free, needs no account, and has no real limit beyond a short cooldown between re-runs on the same domain. You can score your own product, a competitor, or anything with a live URL, as often as you like.
The free report gives you:
- Your launch-readiness score and the two bars behind it.
- A list of specific, named gaps to fix.
- A preview of the launch map: where Nilkick thinks you should go.
This half exists to show you where you stand. It will never ask for a card.
02 · The paid partThe paid half: a launch
A launch is where Nilkick does the heavy lifting. You spend one launch credit, Nilkick studies your product in depth, and it builds the full plan: a ranked list of venues, a post drafted for each one, and a workspace that walks you through shipping them.
A launch gives you:
- The complete venue plan, communities first, directories second.
- A draft written for every venue, in that venue’s voice.
- The Reddit workflow, with account-standing checks built in.
- A checklist that tracks every move to done.
03 · The seamWhere the line sits
The rule is short: you pay to launch, never to scan. Checking your score, re-checking after fixes, and seeing the shape of your map are all free. Spending a credit is what unlocks the drafted posts and the workspace that ships them.
A launch is a flat one-time price, and credits do not expire. It has no monthly fee and nothing recurring. You buy a launch when you have a product ready to push.
