How signing in works
Nilkick has no passwords. You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email. Here is how it works, why we do it this way, and what to do if a code does not arrive.
Last updated June 22, 2026Nilkick does not use passwords. Instead, you sign in with a one-time code sent to your email. There is nothing to create, remember, or reset.
01 · The flowHow it works
Signing in is three steps:
- Enter your email address.
- Nilkick emails you a one-time code.
- Type the code in, and you are signed in.
The first time you do this, your account is created in the same step. There is no separate sign-up. Signing in and signing up are one and the same.
02 · Why codesWhy no password
Passwords are the weakest part of most accounts. They get reused, guessed, and leaked. An email code sidesteps all of that. There is no password to steal, nothing to reset, and access is tied to your inbox, which you already protect.
It also keeps your account light. The only thing Nilkick needs to know you is an email address.
03 · TroubleshootingIf a code does not arrive
Codes usually land within a few seconds. If yours does not:
- Check your spam or promotions folder.
- Confirm the email address you entered is correct, since the code only goes there.
- Wait out the short cooldown, then request a new code.
Codes are short-lived and single-use, so always use the most recent one. An old code, or one from an earlier attempt, will not work.
Because your inbox is how you sign in, keeping access to that email address matters. Nilkick does not currently support changing your sign-in email from inside the app, so if you need to move to a new address, contact support.
