# Nilkick

> Nilkick is a free launch-readiness scanner for products, startups, SaaS tools, and side projects that are built but not yet meaningfully launched.

Nilkick reads a public product URL and returns a shareable report showing how launched the product is right now. The report combines technical readiness signals from the site itself with footprint signals from public search results and third-party mentions.

## What Nilkick Does

- Scores a product with a launch-readiness number out of 100.
- Splits the score into Readiness and Footprint.
- Checks whether the site is findable, clear, crawlable, indexed, and referenced.
- Reviews public metadata such as title, description, Open Graph, canonical URL, favicon, HTTPS, robots.txt, sitemap, schema, and llms.txt.
- Looks for public discovery signals such as Google indexing, brand-search ownership, and mentions on launch or community surfaces.
- Generates a practical launch map showing where the product's first likely users are and what angle to use.

## Scoring Model

Nilkick uses two weighted pillars:

- Readiness: the product page itself, weighted at 40 percent.
- Footprint: the product's public presence and references, weighted at 60 percent.

The score is deliberately weighted toward Footprint because a polished page that nobody can find is still not launched.

## Privacy And Access

Nilkick only reads public information. It does not require an account, credit card, installation, tracking snippet, private analytics access, or email signup. Reports are shareable by URL and can be re-run after a product ships improvements or earns new mentions.
